The site is a major destination and revenue generator in Prince George’s County, attracting over eight million visitors a year. It is home to the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center (the largest hotel in the Washington, D.C, area), and the Tanger Outlets. A new casino is slated to open in 2016. National Harbor generated an average of $13.2 million per year in tax receipts (split between the hotel and special tax) during fiscal years 2011, 2012, and 2013.
